PUBLIC-IDEES specialises in affiliation, coregistration and online advertising campaigns. On these grounds, it may be required to collect data of a personal nature in the context defined hereinafter.

This confidentiality policy sets out to inform you of the way in which PUBLIC-IDEES may process such information via the website which can be consulted at the following address: www.publicidees.com and also in the context of its affiliation and e-marketing activities.

In the framework of this collection of data of a personal nature, PUBLIC-IDEES' Technical Director Mr Fabien Barbaud is in charge of data processing.

ARTICLE 1 - CNIL formalities

This website and the processing of personal data deriving therefrom are the subject of a declaration to the Commission Nationale Informatique et Libertés (CNIL - French Data Protection Authority) under the numbers 1081319 and 1081424.

ARTICLE 2 - Data processing

If you are an actual or prospective customer of PUBLIC-IDEES, the company may collect data of a personal nature which shall be used in relation to the execution of the service that it proposes, i.e. bringing together advertisers and affiliated websites according to sophisticated qualification criteria.

For this purpose, PUBLIC-IDEES shall be required to collect, store and use items such as your surname, name, contact details, telephone number, address and any other information that you may voluntarily divulge.

Furthermore, in the context of its retargeting activity, PUBLIC-IDEES is required to collect certain data relating to your IP address, your Web browser and anonymous data concerning your Internet browsing, such as website pages that you have visited or products that you may have consulted on these websites.

Finally, PUBLIC-IDEES is likely to use the aforementioned data for legal and /or regulatory purposes.

In accordance with the French "Informatique et Libertés" (Data Protection and Civil Liberties) Act no. 78-17 of 6 January 1978, people whose data has been collected shall be informed of the possible consequences of their failure to respond.

Whatever the circumstances, PUBLIC-IDEES shall undertake to process all of the data collected in a manner that conforms to the Act no. 78-17 of 6 January 1978.

ARTICLE 3 - Your rights

You are reminded that the person whose personal data is processed shall have the right to access, correct and oppose the processing of his or her personal data.

In accordance with the Act of 6 January 1978, as amended by the Act of 6 August 2004, these rights may be exercised upon request sent by e-mail to: privacy@public-idees.com or by letter to the address: 20-24 rue Jacques Ibert, 92300 Levallois-Perret. The sender must provide proof of identity and a legitimate reason if required to do so by the law.

Furthermore, PUBLIC-IDEES undertakes to ensure that the data collected are kept in a form that allows for the identification of the people concerned for a duration which does not exceed the period required for the purposes for which the data have been collected and processed.

ARTICLE 4 - Transfer of data of a personal nature

In the context of its intermediating service, PUBLIC-IDEES may be required to transmit data of a personal nature to its partners. In particular, PUBLIC-IDEES may be required to transfer the said data to any partner that is required to ensure the smooth running of the company's operations.

Furthermore, PUBLIC-IDEES may transmit your personal data in order to satisfy its legal obligations, especially if required to do so by a legal requisition. Data are also likely to be transferred to States which are not members of the European Union.

ARTICLE 5 - Cookies

With regard to "traditional" cookies

PUBLIC-IDEES uses cookies which are capable of identifying the user, memorising his or her Web visits and customising proposals.

If your browser allows you to do so, cookies may be deactivated at any time by following the procedures for the browser in question (Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer, Safari, etc.).

However, PUBLIC-IDEES informs you that such a deactivation could prevent you from accessing features allowed for by cookies, such as certain preferences or customisations carried out on websites, the creation of shopping baskets on cybermerchants' websites and certain personal data such as usernames and passwords, etc.

With regard to "advertising" cookies

When you visit some of PUBLIC-IDEES' partner websites, PUBLIC-IDEES is required to transmit cookies to your computer in the framework of its relationships with advertisers and in order to offer you customised products and/or services which are adapted to your needs, in accordance with the laws and regulations in force.

For example, according to the products that you might have consulted on our partners' websites, our tools will allow us to target your areas of interest more accurately in order to offer you pertinent advertisements on other websites that you visit, thus improving your Internet browsing experience. This activity is called "retargeting".

You can deactivate the storage of cookies on your browser by following the procedures issued by Internet browser developers (Firefox, Safari, Chrome, etc.) or you may just delete PUBLIC-IDEES' cookies by clicking the following link.

However, PUBLIC-IDEES informs you that the consequence of such a deletion would be to prevent you from accessing the features allowed by "advertising" cookies, such as the customisation of advertising banners according to your areas of interest.

These cookies are anonymous and are deleted within a maximum period of 60 days, as recommended by the SNCD (French National Direct Communications Union) and the IAB (Interactive Advertising Bureau). Furthermore, these data are never associated with personal data.

ARTICLE 6 - Business development

PUBLIC-IDEES may carry out its own business development campaigns, but only if you have given your express consent by checking the box provided for this purpose on our forms.

ARTICLE 7 - Security

Public-Idees undertakes to take any necessary precautions to protect the security of data against the risks posed by their processing. This includes protecting them from deformation and damage or being accessed by unauthorised thrid parties. In particular, it undertakes to comply with all of the technical requirements to which the processing must conform.

ARTICLE 8 - Modification

PUBLIC-IDEES reserves the right to modify this Confidentiality Policy at any time. The modifications shall enter into force forty-eight hours after these modifications have been put online.
